1.Silence is golden-

Silence is a beautiful thing. Silence provides us with a break from all the buzz. It affords us some breathing space. It can be a sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of the day-to-day. When you use silence you give the other person the time and the space to reflect on the question/comment before responding. Silence is truly golden and something I don’t think we take advantage of enough.

It is my wish that you give yourself the gift of silence for just 10 minutes a day. Find some place to sit quietly, take some deep breathes, and just relax. Let your mind go where it needs to go. Oh, and if you want to try something really fun, try asking yourself a question and then go silent. See what happens, as you might be pleasantly surprised.Believe me in those silent moments you have your mind will work wonders.

“Silence is golden,” because it conserves your energy assets so that your body can draw upon them in times of need to protect your health and prolong your life.Silence is more profitable than abundance of speech.

Stillness runs deep!
Silence has no distractions. Need I really say more on that?

2,Everything looks better after a good night’s sleep -

We perform different kinds of jobs during the day. Whether it is physical or mental. By doing this we lose energy constantly and we feel tired. That is why our body and mind need rest. During our sleep, the body recovers the energy lost during the days hard work we put in. and we have now, we are ready to start the day all over again as our battery is recharged after a good night sleep.

Sound sleep is an excellent and the easiest source of gaining energy and strength. You must have heard people complaining that they cannot sleep, believe me this is not “natural”. We are the ones who invite these kinds of trouble. Lack of sleep makes us restless and grumpy. As a result, we don’t feel like doing anything and get irritated easily. The result we feel so helpless and are unable to perform our duties. This causes stress and in medical language it is called depression. It is not possible to eradicate this problem. But it is very tough definitely. Therefore it is rightly said that sleep is a nature’s gift and there is no alternative except getting a good night sleep

Changes to our sleep patterns are a part of the normal aging process. As we age we tend to have a harder time falling asleep and more trouble staying asleep - which is a problem because research shows that our sleep needs remain constant throughout adulthood and that it is a misconception to think that sleep needs decline as we get older.

4.Everything in this life has a purpose -

"Deep in our hearts we all want to find and fulfill a purpose bigger than ourselves". Since each person is unique from DNA to finger prints it’s reasonable to believe that each of us also has a purpose a reason for being that is uniquely personal.

To know your purpose you first have to know who you are. Don’t let culture background wealth talents or intelligence limit you in your search for purpose. While it’s true some people seem to find their life purpose easier than others it’s also true that God really does have a plan for every single person even if it takes a while to see what it is.

To find your purpose in life you need to become everything you are capable of becoming. We all need to become a unique individual who lives a daily life of joy….Success is the ability to love and to be loved enjoy what you do and do what you love and have fun in your life. Success is making a difference a positive difference. Success is making the world a little bit better because you existed. And success begins with purpose. One of the keys to success is the belief in a mission. A mission is your purpose for living. A mission supersedes goal setting. A mission gives your life meaning. Deep in our hearts we all want to find and fulfill a purpose bigger than … We strive to want to find a golden thread to tie our lives together.

One of the keys to finding your purpose in life is to be able to understand yourself better. To find your purpose in life you need to become everything you are capable of becoming. You must develop yourself to the point where every day is a source of joy and satisfaction. You need to be able to hold up a mirror to yourself and refuse to work at anything that is not an expression of everything that is good and capable within you. But excellence is a journey not a destination. The purpose of life is to love and be loved to enjoy the ordinary and to savor the present moment. Every person was put on this earth to do something wonderful with his or her life. You can find your purpose in life if you are willing to take risks and go against the norm. You can find your purpose if you’re willing to listen to your inner urges rather than follow what other people want you to do.

Many spiritual traditions revolve around one central question: “Who am I ?” As human beings we want to feel useful. We long to give our lives some deeper meaning. We want our lives to be worthwhile. This does not mean we need to achieve ‘great feats’ or become world famous. We just need to feel in place and do the right thing surrounded by the right people. It’s about finding out our mission. It’s about finding ‘inner peace’. If you are not in touch with your own desires you will easily fall prey to expectations projected upon you by your environment. If you are not following your own path then you must be following someone else’s! If you are not clear on your own life mission you will find it hard to say “no” to what other people want you to do. This undecidedness makes you available for all who cross your path and want a piece of you draining your energy.
You can only find real joy in life by discovering and living according to the unique way of your personal evolution.

Life is too short to be unhappy. You are not alone in this search. This mission is also looking for you. It wants to be fulfilled by you and by nobody else. It is your personal mission. Nobody else is equipped to do it for you. When you discover your true purpose in life your future will be unlimited. For much of our life the burden of clutter has kept us from using our God-given talents. As we declutter our lives the mental fog that has for so long clouded our minds is lifted. The thing is everyone has a unique and special gift to offer the world. Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all the strategies and tricks of the Devil and discover what life has in store for you.
We all have the same life-purpose…to heal ourselves by finding our joy and then sharing that joy to inspire others.

Wake up each day saying a prayer of gratitude and saying "Thank You" for your blessings. How do you discover the purpose of life? Find your passion. Pursue it. Honor it. You will live each moment ‘on purpose’ instead of accidentally. You are blessed. Life is abundantly sacred. Life is abundantly enjoyable. Life is abundantly in need of your contribution. Become an even greater blessing and you will be even more abundantly blessed. The most practical way to find your own unique purpose is to decide what your ideals are and what you are most passionate about and then simply go about making these personal ideals and passions manifest in your life.

Don’t be afraid for you do not walk this path alone. The how of life may be complex but the why of life is simple. How do you create the success you envision and desire? Live your purpose. Be passionate about it. Pursue it. Persist.

Purpose + Passion + Persistence = Prosperity.

9.Our bodies are our gardens - our wills are our gardeners.
The body is your temple. Keep it pure and clean for the soul to reside in.

6.Strive to live in the present moment -

I think of issues like global warming and the over-consumption of natural resources. I think of preventable and treatable disease like HIV/AIDS and malaria. I think of all these things that, while they are such huge issues, truly are preventable and manageable. How can I sit back and contemplate my own future without first contemplating the future of the world I am a part of? Maybe it will become more personal when we realize that our global actions today will have a direct influence on world we give to our children and grandchildren. So I will continue to focus on my life day by day. I will strive to live in a way that is thankful and appreciative of the life God has blessed me with at this present moment. But I will also remember that with this “charmed life” comes responsibility and what I choose to do with this present moment I am blessed to have, will determine the future of our world.

7.You don’t grow old. When you cease to grow, you are old -

The moment we cease to grow, we begin to die. What does this quote mean to you? In the act of living, we make mistakes but hopefully learn from them. The quote is trying to say that the moment we stop growing, stop learning, and stop thinking, our brain or mentality starts to die. Whenever we learn something, our heart and mind grows accordingly. If we ceased to grow, it will feel like we are stuck in a remote state with nothing happening. There are many political, social, economic, emotional, and physical ways this quote can be interpreted.

Don’t you always want to be involved? It doesn’t matter what age you are: in your 70’s or in your childhood. You always want to feel that you’re a part of something and you’re involved. In some communities, old men are chosen to volunteer for the community. You probably think "Yeah, they can’t do much, they’re old" but the elder gentlemen, they would love to help out. They hate having the feeling that they can’t do anything anymore. At any age, anyone is able to learn. Knowledge is interminable and it also keeps one’s mind fresh. When one is not doing something new, one is not learning anything. As you get more involved socially, you tend to develop. If you stopped developing, you would not acquire anything.

Another social example of the quote relates somewhat to emotions. When you are in a relationship with a friend you make plenty of mistakes. But after you make a mistake you try not to do it again and you learn from it. Through it all, you learn from your experiences and your mind matures. When you stop learning from your errors, or you continuously make the same mishaps and don’t learn your lesson, you’re stuck in a never-ending cycle.

When one makes a mistake we should learn and move on and making sure that we do not make the same mistake again. Each time we have a new experience, ideally we learn more and more. Our insights enable us to be more alert and prevent problems from happening again. If none of these experiences ever happened we would never learn. When one stops learning and growing, they begin to die. The moment we cease to grow, we begin to die.

8.Come forth into the light of things, let nature be your teacher -

Nature and the seasons of our Earth are extraordinary. They can help us to learn to surrender. Did you ever think that spring would not come? I mean really, truly think that spring would not come? Of course not! For millions of years, spring has come. Each day the sun comes up. Each day the sun goes down. Cycle upon cycle upon cycle is the way of nature and so it is with our lives also. I would never imagine that winter would be followed by another winter. No, after winter comes spring. Has your life been in a sort of winter? Do you sometimes feel as though the circumstances of your life will never ease into spring? Rest assured they will. Feel it, know it, believe it, and it will be here for you. Don’t dwell in the coldness of this moment. Accept it and at the same time trust in the blooms of spring. Trust that soon you will feel the warmth of peace on your face. Trust that all is well.

Our approach to surrender would be well taken if we followed the path of nature and as we experienced winters of our soul we took refuge in the fact that spring will come. Go outside on a cold day and just enjoy the briskness of the weather. For me, the briskness of a cold day helps me to acknowledge and envision my need for warmer weather. I am able to feel the cold and at the same time know that as I surrender to the cold and just let it be, that in my quiet acceptance of the now, I have surrendered. If you are experiencing a need for spring to come in a more metaphoric way, know that your spring is just around the corner too. Live this day and envision a new day of warmth and laughter. Follow the path to Surrender… Let Go… and Believe.

9.Yog is a light which once lit will never dim. The better your practice, the brighter your flame -

“Yog” is such a word that it inspires lot of curiosity. Floods of questions & confusions strike the mind. The questions arise regarding body, mind, soul and the God. Yog is such a vast subject that a brief description is not possible. But, in case we adopt a methodology, the Yog is easy to grasp. Hence, let us first of all ‘know what the Yoga is’. While maintaining your curiosity about what Yog is, before knowing this, let us know what Yog is not. Yes, by this, we can know Yog more deeply after eliminating all misconceptions about Yog , since because of these, with the passage of time, the shape of Yog has become diffused. As for example, the removal of dust from Saftik-diamond, make it lustrous, similarly the quality of Yog is.Yog is not the name of wandering in forests and mountains. In fact, not to abandon life is Yog. Yog is not action-less nor it is to ignore duties, or go to destitute or be aloof by fear, boredom or losing heart from the world. In fact, what is Yog? In simple words Yog is an art of living. The life full of Yog leads us to right direction which takes us to up liftment, light and divine joy. It is a true road from the darkness of ignorance to knowledge and from artificiality to reality. The motivation of selfless feelings comes from Yog only. The circle of Karma can only be broken by Yog full life, which is in fact the aim of our life. This is called ‘Pursharth Chatushatya in our holy books , which means Dharma, Artha, Kama, Moksh. Therefore, the right way of life shall depend on Yog Sadhana and the true Yog-Sadhna will depend on right way of life.In our holy books, it is clearly defined what is Yog. What is its object & nature. Still some people because of their own interest misguide others - for example they wrongly name Yog as giving pains to the body without any reason: to stand on one foot, to dig oneself in the earth, to stop heart beats and pulse. Yog is not a magic or miracle and nor it is a thing to show off. Broadly, Yog is not limited to just doing certain physical actions or asanas. Yog is not just a philosophy. It provides a true knowledge. It is a subject which provides human beings true knowledge mixed with actions. It is not the heritage of any particular person, caste or group. It is a wide-spread knowledge which is flowing continuously since inception of the universe. In context of above, it is evident that Yog is far from any confusion or misconception. It is not limited to any caste, period, age, place, dress or expression which implies it is a subject beyond all these boundaries. Yog does not bind itself in just any philosophy or intellectualism. In case we define Yog by following definitions, we can know true form of Yog very easily. Though Yog is defined by many definitions but Yog Darshan and Shrimad Bhagwad Gita(Holy books) are real legendary books defining it.Yog is a light which once lit will never dim. The better your practice, the brighter your flame. It will help you for:

  • Complete personality development.
  • Meeting of Soul with God.
  • Control of forces of mind.
  • Perfection in deeds.
  • Balance state.
  • Stable state of mind.

10.Focus on keeping your spine straight. It is the job of the spine to keep the brain alert. -

As the yogis say, one is as young as one’s spine. Hatha yog concentrates much careful attention on deep, thorough stretches of the spine, bringing the head forward to rest on the knees. Since all the nerves of the body are channeled from the spinal cord out between the vertebrae, a healthy spine is of central importance for the well-being of the whole human body and mind. It takes much patient, persistent practice to make and keep the spine ideally flexible.

Know what good posture is believed to be. Most people think that to "stand up straight" means tensing your back to heave your chest ’in and up’, and pulling your head back in to your chest. This is not so. The spine has two natural curves that you need to maintain called the ’double C’ or ’S’ curves, these are the curves found from the base of your head to your shoulders and the curve from the upper back to the base of the spine. When standing straight up, make sure that your weight is evenly distributed on your feet. You might feel like you are leaning forward, and look stupid, but you don’t.
