Nokia is well prepared for the ongoing revolution with the N series of multimedia-geared cell phones. here are review of N series phones :

1.Nokia N70

img593
N 70 works on Symbian 60series platform, don’t know about other phones but this phone is quite slow if you add a few applications to it, I had a memory card of 1GB, but in the time taken to open any application, you might as well make tea for yourself.

Nokia N70 has 2 cameras, one is in front of the phone and other is in conventional mobile camera position, the second one is a 2mega pixel camera and first one is a VGA camera. Picture quality is the best among any 2mega pixel camera. But the gallery takes too long to open. The VGA camera works perfectly in day light and the flash of the camera works fine in night. Captured video file quality is above average.

I had a music edition of Nokia N70; its sound quality was just excellent. The headphones are also of great quality, visual fm is also there, but again, as the gallery was too slow to open, I had to wait for minutes to listen the songs.

Battery was one of the major let downs of my Nokia N70. It was below average. The battery life ended within a day so I had to charge it everyday. For any type of phone in my opinion, battery is the most important thing, I have a bitter experience with this phone.

2.Nokia N71

img589
The Nokia N71 is a member of the formidable multimedia mobile computer line up the N series. The handset is the first N series phone to have a clamshell form factor. The basic idea behind the release of the Nokia N71 is to bring in more variety by introducing new form factor while retaining the same popular feature. The Nokia N70 the candy bar N series smart phone matches almost all feature of the Nokia N71. Apart from strengthening N series’ entry level portfolio, the Nokia N71 has been largely successful to make inroad into women segment of mid to high end mobile phone users.

The TV antenna is built into the Nokia N77 handset which avoids the antenna getting damaged when the handset is being carried & moved around from place to place.

8.Nokia N78

img594
Nokia N78 bears some resemblance to the N82, but as it is also a part of the N-series, we cannot expect a complete new model. Wi-Fi, GPS and HSDPA (3.5G) are some features that N78 shares with N82. But, apart from these similarities there are many contrasting unique features. N78 boasts a FM transmitter that allows transmitting music to the nearby FM radio. So, the users of N78 can have great car journeys with the mini radio station at their hands. Also, the stereo speakers add some extra volume to the handset and the 3.5mm headphone jack allows them to stick their usual headphones directly into it. On the back of N78 there is an excellent 3.2 megapixel camera which is in fact the much preferred resolution these days. Carl Zeiss optics with the camera provides crystal clear pictures and hence there is no need to buy the expensive N96 range for its 5-megapixels camera. The four-way navigation key operate as a touch sensitive scroll wheel, much identical to an iPod’s click wheel that lets you hunt music tracks and contacts quickly.

9.Nokia N 79

img604
It’s been difficult to find fault with Nokia’s recent slew of all powerful all knowing Nseries handsets. But if one of these new gen Symbian-fuelled feature-rich smarties was open to a slight slagging, it was the Nokia N78.

While it’s not a bad handset by any stretch of the imagination it just didn’t quite reach the Nseries normal lofty standards. It successor, the Nokia N79 suitably re-addresses its shortcomings.

Essentially, the Nokia N79 is a Symbian S60 OS powered handset the same as its sister slider, the Nokia N85, but in candybar form. Yes, it shares its stablemate’s comprehensive feature set up - Carl Zeiss five-megapixel camera lens, built-in GPS with Nokia Maps, turbo HSDPA and Wi-Fi download speeds and VGA-quality video capture at 30fps to name a few - its sadly doesn’t sport a vivid battery saving OLED display and dedicated N-Gage keys. Granted, these aren’t major deal breaking concerns and the N79 makes up for it by adding a splash of ruddiness to the normally colourless smartphone world.

Different hued but smart clip-on rear covers tart up N79’s opaque veneer with embedded sensors to automatically co-ordinate the phone’s theme. The N79’s handset design closely follows past Nseries candybars like the N78 and N82 but feels less clunky and far sleeker. Nokia has also thankfully replaced their tricksy fiddly keypads with a more thumb-friendly standard arrangement.

So, the N79 pretty much plays put like the N85, proving to be a very capable snapper despite the lack of Xenon flash. Web browsing on its 2.4-inch screen is undemanding thanks to its Mini-map zooming technique and virtual mouse pointer while navigation is efficient and accurate using Nokia Maps. An integrated 3.5mm headphone jack rounds off the N79’s impressive performance.

10.Nokia N80

img586
There are so many cool features on the Nokia N80 that it is hard to know where to start. There’s the 3 megapixel camera for starters which is really powerful for a phone camera. The sliding keyboard reveals the dial pad when opened which keeps the overall size of the N80 down. It’s also the first phone I’ve seen with 802.11g for high-speed WiFi connections. PC Magazine has reviewed the N80 and awarded it a Editor’s Choice pick so check out the full review if you are interested in this multimedia phone with the nice camera.

14.Nokia N90Extreme Mobility

img590

15.Nokia 91

img585
The Nokia 91 is an impressive device, and is the king of MP3 players. Nokia already had a podcatching application for the N91, but the device now supports Windows DRM files, which allows you to use this phone to listen to songs from the Yahoo!and download too. The solution does require synchronization between a computing device and the N91, but the fact that you can access to over 2 million songs in the Yahoo! Music library on this phone is quite amazing!

From a Windows Mobile standpoint, you’d think that most devices would be as compatible, but apparently not. According to the supported device list, I see only the Audiovox SMT 5600, the Dell Axim X50v, the T-Mobile MDA and the Motorola Q.

16.Nokia N91 8GB - Musical Power House

img584
