Turbulent as the last 12 months have felt, 2008 may go on record as the year when the most important events in technology news were those that didn’t happen.Despite all the media’s coaxing, Microsoft and Yahoo! failed to consummate their star-crossed love affair. Google came away empty-handed from its bid to buy up swathes of radio frequency in the FCC’s spectrum auction. And even if he won’t appear at 2009’s Macworld, Steve Jobs did not die–a fact that may bewilder loyal readers of Bloomberg or CNN.com. (more…)

Newest version of Microsoft office Accounting Professional 2009 has been released and available on Microsoft’s website for download. Microsoft Office Accounting Express, the free, popular and easy to use accounting software from Microsoft Corporation has been upgraded to version 2009 (4.0.1930.0).  The new voice-activated Google Mobile app for the iPhone is finally released. Whatever the reason for the delay, it was worth the wait. The search app knows when you bring the phone to your face to speak into it. It beeps, you talk, and it executes a Google search on what you said. (If you’re using a headset, you have to press a button. You can type in your queries, too, if you want.) (more…)

 Lala.comis an Internet brand that has reinvented itself as the digital-music scene evolved, but has never enjoyed much traction in the Web marketplace. It hopes to change that. I heard about it and decided to give it a try, it’s awesome.I feel like my eyes have just been opened for the very first time. If you don’t know about Lala, you’re missing out. Microsoft launched a rewards promotion called SearchPerks to lure Internet users away from Google.The latest iteration of Microsoft’s pay-for-search program is a customized toolbar that rewards users with "tickets" that can be redeemed when the program ends next April. (more…)

This beta release is available to everyone, but is primarily for Web developers and designers to test the new tools, layout engine, and programming enhancements.
When not developing your web site, you can click the Emulate IE7 button in the command bar to browse the web like you did in IE7.
