HTC launches Hero Android-base

HTC today unveiled its HTC Hero handset, which will run Google’s Android operating system and feature a customised user interface.The handset, dubbed the HTC Hero, will be available in the UK next month. It features a five-megapixel camera, built-in GPS and a digital compass for simple navigation, 3.2in touch-screen, a standard 3.5mm headphone jack, and an accelerometer that can sense whether the phone is being held in portrait or landscape. It has 512MB of integrated memory which can be expanded to 16GB using a microSD memory card. (more…)

Turbocharging Opera

Opera is, without any doubt, the best browser on planet earth. I have been using Opera since version 3, and since Opera introduced tabs, I had nothing to complain about.

But even for hardcore users, it’s sometimes hard to ignore the fact that after some time of usage, Opera get’s slower and slower. After a few months, it becomes painful to close opera. It just takes a lot more time than what fresh install of opera takes.

So, I decided to investigate what’s causing the slowdown.
